Vinyl Cut / Lettering

Vinyl cut/lettering is self adhesive vinyl that comes in a wide range of colours that is cut by a computerized plotting device and easily applied to many different surfaces indoors & out. The end result appears to be painted on the substrate used.

At Digital Post, we use a 24" plotting device capable of cutting a 22" letter (or graphic) in one piece. Items larger than 22" would simply be seamed together like wallpaper during the mounting process. We use only high grade vinyl material capable of withstanding sun and water for up to 5 years.

We accept pre-designed files vector format only. Preferred file formats include Illustrator 10 or lower and Corel Draw! 9.0 or lower. Additional art charges will apply for converting to vector based graphics.

Digital Post offers 3 Applications of Vinyl Cut / Lettering:

All 3 are available in the following colors: White, black, light blue, dark blue, red, kelly green, hunter green, gold, silver, burgundy, beige and yellow.

1. Vinyl Banners: The banner material used is produced by Banana Banner, and comes in 22", 34" and 46" widths and lengths up to 100ft long. Since this banner material comes pre-stitched and grommetted (every 2 feet, but additional grommets can be added at a small fee), it is very economical for our customers with a fast turn around time. These banners are light weight yet strong in 10 oz outdoor grade vinyl. Great for advertising special sales and events.
   

2. Vinyl onto Coroplast: This is done by applying vinyl to a rigid corrugated 4mm plastic sheet, giving a durable yet economical sign cut to various sizes. Very light weight and waterproof with indefinite indoor durability and 2-3 year outdoor durability. Available in white, black, blue, silver, green, yellow, light blue, beige and red.
   
   

3. Ready to Apply: For the "Do It Yourself-er" comes precut ready to apply vinyl complete with simple instructions to get you on your way to producing great and professional results. Great for applying onto windows for store hours, services, sales and promotions, cars, boats and busses.
   
   Tip: if applying to the inside of a window, specify "reverse cut" when you place your order. Tinted windows require placement on the outside of window.

Large Format Printing

This full colour, eye-catching process creates beautiful works of art, stained glass window effects, light box media, store window displays or posters of your favorite photo. Our Encad Novajet pro 600E printer offers outstanding graphic quality on a wide range of media for the artist to the store owner using computerized scans or designed files for both interior and limited exterior applications (usually 6 months to 2yrs). Preferred file formats include Illustrator 10 or lower, Corel Draw! 9 or lower and Photoshop 6.0 or lower.

Media and Applications Used:

• Vinyl Banner: 10 mm material, used for indoor or limited outdoor when UV/Waterproof inks are used. Grommet for hanging ease.
  
• Tyvek®: This tear resistant banner material is made of spun polyolefin . This lightweight material performs like a heavyweight. Used for indoor/limited outdoor applications when UV/Waterproof inks are used. Grommet for hanging ease.
  
• Photo Realistic Matte: This media is used for indoor use only creating rich quality output on matte finish media. Ideal for large quantity runs where lamination is required. Finishes nicely by applying to a plaque mount.
  
• Photo Realistic Gloss: This media is used for indoor use only creating high impact, high gloss results. Lamination not available on this media. Finishes nicely by applying to a plaque mount.
  
• Textured Paper: gives the appearance of canvas with less cost. Great for scanned images such as paintings or drawings and digital art/photography. Looks great when applied to plaque mounting.
  

Display Films Include:

Back Lit Media:

• 5mm: Specially coated for vivid back lit colour. Allows the printing of short runs for a fraction of the cost of traditional methods. Reverse image on the back side for front viewing and to protect inks. Features water resistant coating.
  
• 12mm: Matte polycarbonate base is specifically coated for vivid backlit or front lit colour, but is more rigid than that of the 5mm product.
  Note: Light boxes not supplied by Digital Post.
  

  Clear Media:
  Tough, clear polyester base for overlays and clear signage. Also available in static cling adhesive (stained glass appearance). Apply to windows for best results.
  

  Pressure Sensitive Media:
  Vinyl Matte: our matte, pressure sensitive (adhesive) vinyl provides outstanding colour and high ink densities for photo quality promotional signage. Apply to Windows, counters, coroplast or intecel. Can be laminated for extra protection and to brighten colours.
